Sam Bailey, my grandfather, served in the First World War as a
fitter in the Royal Naval Air Service. During his training at the Crystal
Palace in the Autumn of 1916 he produced a notebook which the family still
has.
Sam is in the centre above and top of the clubs on the
right.
The picture frames are mahogany and whilst I like the idea
that the frame on the right came from an actual propellor the size and shape
are wrong.
